Toast Weddings Iowa is a family-owned, complete wedding media company specializing in photo, film, and social content creation. We are committed to inclusivity and serve couples of all backgrounds in Des Moines, Cedar Rapids, Sioux City and statewide.
Toast was founded by Zach & Callie, a husband and wife team.
Zach is a documentary cinematographer and producer known for the Sundance Grand Jury Prize winning documentary, The Price of Free, with another 5 documentaries premiering at Tribeca Film Festival.
Callie, in addition to being an experienced wedding and travel photographer, has collaborated with some of the most renowned photographers globally, editing photos for the covers of Vogue, Vanity Fair, Harper’s Bazaar, and more.
Since 2014, we've been honored to capture over 3,000 weddings for incredible couples, winning Couple’s Choice on Wedding Wire, Knot Hall of Fame and Knot Best of Weddings eight years in a row.
We pride ourselves on creating all of your wedding media as a collaboration, deeply valuing what matters most to you. We understand that we're not just capturing any event, we’re telling a love story that becomes a part of your family history, through multiple different mediums.
All aspects of your wedding media package (photo, film, and/or social content creation) are completely customizable. We encourage you to be as hands-on as you like, and we make it easy for you to help guide every aspect. Even after the first draft of your wedding film is delivered, you'll have complimentary rounds of edits to ensure your film is exactly what you envisioned.

When Toast Wedding Films says their approach is to be like a fly on the wall, they aren’t kidding! Our videographer Trevor was there capturing everything but never once stopped or ...
interrupted the flow of the day. He was so nice and personable, and it felt like we’d been talking to him for months rather than meeting him for the first time that day! Everyone said how focused he was doing detail shots, and he was there for every important moment we asked to have filmed.
Working before the big day with Jaynani was incredible! She was so helpful and constantly checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed. The wedding questionnaire they have you fill out covers literally everything we could think of that mattered about our video. I also loved the personal touch of chatting with the owners of Toast before we booked with them to make sure we really knew the story and people behind the scenes. Originally, we hadn’t budgeted for a videographer, but we’re so glad we could work with Toast Wedding Films to fit into our budget and on our date!
We love our video, and we especially appreciated how willing they were to work with us on editing. It was important to me to include as much footage of my grandparents as possible since my grandma had passed, and Toast delivered. We’re grateful to have these memories preserved forever.

On the day of event, Trevor showed up and perfectly captured our day. It even rained during our ceremony, but didn’t cause any issues for video.
After, we worked with Gail to help craft our story. She was so easy to work with and responsive to any changes and edits we had. We felt truly cared for.
The end result exceeded our expectations. Our video beautifully encapsulated the essence of our wedding day and told the perfect story. We are grateful for the skill and dedication of Toast!
